Overview

What is MINT?

MINT is a program designed to complement MBA career services offerings and support MBA students and alumni seeking to advance their careers.  MINT, which stands for MBAs in Transition, delivers the support, assurance and daily, actionable guidance your graduate students and alumni need to make the most beneficial short- and long-term career decisions. This long-term focus not only protects students’ graduate school investments; it also keeps students close and loyal to your university, your school, and your organization. To learn more, read a letter to deans, career center professionals and alumni organization leaders from UpMo CEO Promise Phelon.

MINT helps MBAs get jobs AND build careers.

Most career support services designed to partner with your career center or alumni organization focus solely on helping students find their next JOB, singular—they encourage your students to:

  • "Take this assessment so we can tell you what your next job should look like."
  • "Complete this exercise to create a resume and cover letter for your next job."
  • "Read this article for interview techniques guaranteed to help you win your next job."
  • "Post your resume in our database so employers can offer you your next job."
  • "Explore this industry database to see which field your next job might come from."

UpMo, on the other hand, focuses not only on helping students secure their next JOB—but also their next-next and their next-next-next JOBS, for the duration of their careers. When your career center or alumni organization partners with UpMo through our MINT program, students visit a “your U-branded” UpMo portal daily to receive step-by-step direction for growing professionally, nurturing relationships, finding jobs—and for building satisfying, long-term careers.
